Vision for the World
Devotional
Does God have a “vision” for this world? God has a vision for all, regardless of differing religion, race, or background. His vision extends beyond the bounds of his comfortability. In this lesson, we explore just a small fraction of God's vision for the world.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
JOHN 3:16-17
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 PETER 3:9

- If you could consistently see the world the way God does, how might that change your thoughts, words, or actions?
- In what areas of your life do you most crave God’s love and patience?
- When is it most difficult for you to recognize God’s love and patience for the world?
- In what ways can you better partner with God in his vision for the world?
Practice The Way of Jesus:
God is interested in the world – the whole world! Jesus said: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel!” God loves every person. His view is not narrow, or merely a local vision – God thinks of all people. Jesus shed his blood, died and rose again, not for one religion, or for one people, but for all. This week, take some time to pray about God's vision for the world. Consider asking a friend to join you in your pursuit for God's vision for the world!
