Solitude
Devotional
In world full of distraction and short attention spans, God wants us to get away and practice what Jesus did. The practice: Jesus going away to a solitary place to pray. “Jesus is beyond famous, everyone comes to Him, everyone needs him. This is the time when He decides to have a time of prayer with His Father.” Where do you go when your life is chaotic?
16 "...Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
LUKE 5:16
12 One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.
LUKE 6:12
14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
MARK 6:14-15
