Jesus Loves the Little Children

Devotional

Who is fit for the kingdom of God? The lowly, the humble. The children among us. And though they are so often overlooked and devalued in the world’s economic view, God highly values children. They belong to Him, even before they are born. He creates their inmost being, knits them together in their mother’s womb. They are each fearfully and wonderfully made in the secret place, woven together in the depths of the earth.

15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

LUKE 18:15-17

Practice The Way of Jesus:

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." It’s evident from this passage that Jesus loves and has compassion for children. This week, ask yourself: "What is one way I can show love and compassion toward children?" After reflection, seek to demonstrate your graciousness to one child at a time.
