A Way Forward

The Broward Media Workshop is a digital outreach workshop aimed at equipping church leaders and volunteers on how to reach a 21st century audience during this informational revolution. Professionals and church leaders will teach with a focus on reaching people through social media use, website, branding, and creative ventures.

Who We Are

Established in 1972, Broward Church’s mission has always been the same— to seek and save the lost. But since then, the various ways to achieve this goal have become more creative than a simple cold contact invite to church. In order to keep up with the times, we have decided to educate ourselves on a new type of outreach— digital evangelism.

What To Expect

Expect to be given some basic tools and practical teaching on digital mediums and how to begin having a digital presence as a church.

Get To Know The Speakers

Lucas graduated with his undergrad degree in Marketing from Southeastern University in 2006. He spent the next 4 years in traditional marketing while incorporating elements of SEO as he saw marketing evolving. After that he started focusing solely on the emerging world of Internet marketing taking the leap to join Full Sail University and completed his masters in Internet marketing in 2014. He has successfully worked with worldwide brands and local businesses and this has led him to launch his own Internet marketing agency Hit or Click Marketing, based in Orlando but serving customers around the United States. Hit or Click Marketing currently services Broward and Orlando churches with Internet Marketing and website design.

Wysmar Clealand is a Creative Content Operations Director for television network, Univision, based in Miami, FL. With over 25 years of experience in the development and production of creative content, Wysmar oversees the operations responsible of delivering over 2000 pieces of content to air on a monthly basis for the largest Spanish Television Network in the US. Additionally, he has taught college level classes in TV Studio Production and Directing and worked for most of the major cable and broadcast networks including NBC, ABC, CBS, and ESPN among others. Wysmar is a member of Broward Church and currently serves as the Livestream Crew Director.

Kalah Haley is the founder and CEO of Saint Rock Media. She considers herself a brand architect. She identifies where a company or personality is currently, where they are trying to go and develops a roadmap using digital marketing strategies and tools to reverse engineer that result. She has managed and developed brands such as Disciples Today, Pioneer, Onkyo, Josh Blue and Speech from Arrested Development. Kalah and her marketing and production teams utilize their talents to help think through the next phase of an individual church’s brand or groups of churches. They implement digital marketing best practices to help churches connect with their communities via email, websites, and social media, all to share the church’s story and ultimately Jesus’ story.
